Reinaldo Gibbs is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with more than three decades of experience in social and child welfare. He obtained a master of social work from Hunter College in 1996 while working as a child protective supervisor for the New York Administration for Children’s Services (NYACS). He was promoted to child protective manager in 1997 and spent 16 years in this position. At NYACS, Reinaldo Gibbs’ responsibilities included coordinating the interface with 35 family-assistance caseworkers and providing day-to-day guidance on protective diagnostic interventions in cases of child abuse and maltreatment.

Mr. Gibbs later worked as a local office manager with the Department of Children and Families in New Jersey and, more recently, served as director of social services at the Amboy Care Center, a nursing home facility. He created weekly care plans for residents, assisted executives in policy development, and supervised other social workers at the 175-bed facility.

Among other accolades, Reinaldo Gibbs received an award from NYACS in appreciation of 25 years of dedicated service. He is a former member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Staten Island Domestic Violence Task Force.

Mr. Gibbs’ extracurricular interests include watching football and volunteering at his church. He sends out inspirational and devotional morning newsletters to friends and fellow churchgoers.
